Kindred head coach Matt Crane thinks highly of Hillsboro-Central Valley’s football program.
Crane and the Vikings are quite familiar with H-CV. The two squads have played each other six times since the 2015 season.
“They have the culture and tradition of a winning program,” Crane said Wednesday about the Burros.
“This is (a game) that we are excited about and we just want to see our guys come out and compete and improve.”
The Burros will go for six straight wins against the South-East squad tonight (Friday) as head coach Scott Olsen and his crew hit the road for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Kindred.
“We probably have the toughest schedule in the first three weeks with the two non-region games and then we have Harvey(-Wells County) who just whooped up on Shiloh Christian,” Olsen said about H-CV’s early season schedule. “It’s going to be a tough three games but it’ll hopefully make us battle-tested for the rest of the season.”
