Hillsboro-Central Valley senior Kaden Pastian has signed to throw discus and shot put at North Dakota State University next year.
Pastian was the 2019 state champion in the Class B discus with a throw of 180 feet, 4 inches and took third in the Class B shot put.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while,” Pastian said after his signing Dec. 21. “I sent them a message and they were interested, so things fell into place.”
As a sophomore, his state title discus throw beat out the Class A champion by more than 17 feet.
