After graduating seven seniors from last season’s Region 2 championship team, Hillsboro-Central Valley will use a combination of returning letter winners and depth to pile up wins this winter.
“We don’t have a whole lot of experience at the varsity level. We got three guys back that have some pretty good experience but the rest of them are pretty new,” Burros head coach Elliot Rotvold said.
“But we have talent. And we may take some lumps early in the year but I think we’re feeling like by the middle of January and into February we have the ability to be one of the top teams in the region.”
Rotvold, who’s entering his 24th season at the helm for the Burros, said he’s excited to bring so many new faces to this year’s varsity team.
However, he finds comfort in having seniors Sam Preston and Jackson Anderson and junior Gannon Limke back on the court.
