DRAYTON, N.D. – There have been moments this season when MayPort-CG head coach Sean Moore has chirped at his club to maintain its intensity for four quarters.

Facing winless Drayton/Valley-Edinburg (0-7) on Thursday, Jan. 6 in Drayton, Moore didn’t need his starters on the court for more than two.

Fresh off three straight wins, MayPort-CG (6-4) bolted out to a 47-10 lead against the Titans at halftime, allowing Moore to sit his starting five for the second half of the Region 2 contest.

Even with their best playmakers on the bench – and another starter gone on a family trip – the Patriots outscored Drayton/Valley-Edinburg 18-4 in the second half and rolled out of town with a 65-14 win.

“Judging by (the Titans’) previous scores, the result was sort of what I expected,” Moore said after the 51-point road win. “But the girls came out and got after it right from the start.
