PARK RIVER, N.D. – Gannon Limke’s 30 points propelled Hillsboro-Central Valley to a 55-33 win over Park River/Fordville-Lankin on Friday, Feb. 5, giving the Burros back-to-back road wins.
The victory followed a 61-53 victory over Dakota Prairie (7-7) a night earlier in McVille.
“I didn’t think we came out (against Dakota Prairie) with a sense of urgency,” Burros head coach Elliot Rotvold said.
“I think they went out on the road a little overconfident thinking we’d go in there and beat a team right around .500 (easily). We were a little lethargic.”
Rotvold thought the Burros improved their play Friday against the Aggies in Park River.
“I thought we played alright,” he said. “In the first quarter I thought we got caught playing Park River’s tempo … (but) we went to full-court and half-court trap … the guys responded and we were able to move the ball.”
