All sons with mothers who are little more than a memory get a little nostalgic on Mother’s Day, especially knowing Father’s Day is around the corner but Dad isn’t.
First, you have to know, Floris and Orlando are no longer with us.
Yet, lovingly, tragically and comically, they’ll always be with us. My sisters and me, I mean.
I celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday with my two daughters and their daughters.
Floris was never mentioned. Shame on me.
The slight wasn’t intentional. Daughters Tena and Cassie have heard the many stories of their grandmother, especially. Dad’s stories are less colorful, but no less whimsical.
