Steve Miller used those lyrics in recording the “Joker” in 1973, memory serves me.
“I’m a picker, I’m a grinner, I’m a lover, I’m a sinner, I play my music in the sun.”
For the record, I’m not a picker, who’s a guitarist, I’m guessing, and I only grin on the rarest occasions. Any and all stories of me being a lover have been discouraged, discounted, disputed and disallowed. However, I am a sinner, but I only read when in the sun.
“Some people call me the printer.”
Has a nice ring to it, huh? Fact is, in and around west Traill County – Hatton, to be precise – some people do call me the printer.
