Don passed away on Jan. 24, 2021 at the Sanford Hillsboro Medical Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Donald Allen Bjorklund was born on Jan. 21, 1939, the son of Ansgar and Clara (Moen) Bjorklund in Hillsboro.
He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Don was married to Arliene “Corky” Wilson on Aug. 14, 1959.
The couple made their home in Hillsboro where they raised their three children. Don worked for Traill County maintaining roads, drove truck for Midwest Motor Express, and drove School Bus for Hillsboro.
Don is survived by his wife, Corky; his children – Jode (Brad) Sorum of Hillsboro; Stacy (Tony) Ernst of Hillsboro; and Todd Bjorklund of Kent, WA; his grandchildren – Blake, Brooke, Lee, Austin, Katilyn, and Emily; step-grandchildren – Kyle, Blaine and Tyler Ernst; his great-grandchildren – Lola, Jackson, Weston, Boden, Lemmy, Evy, Otto and Noah; and his brother, Dan (Julie) Bjorklund of Hillsboro.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers – David and Dale Bjorklund; his grandson, Brian Sorum; and his nephews – Tyrone, Seth, and Matthew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to a charity of choice or Arnegard Cemetery.
A private family service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 at Wildeman-Boulger Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. Burial will follow at the Arnegard Cemetery near Hillsboro.
