On Nov. 27, 2020, a private family service was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, N.D. for Alan J. Ebertowski. Alan passed away Oct. 28, 2020 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Alan was born on Sept. 15, 1949 in Grafton, N.D. to Frank F. and Irene Ebertowski. He attended various county schools finishing up his high school education at Grafton High School. He married Lana Pokrzywinski on April 25, 1973. They lived for five years in Argyle, Minn., moving to the Grafton area in 1979 until 2014 when they moved to Hillsboro, N.D.

Alan served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 where he was stationed in Vietnam. He also served with the N.D. National Guard from 1980 to 1993 and was part of Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. He worked at American Crystal in Drayton for 36 years before retiring in 2009. After retirement, he enjoyed many hobbies but mostly watching his grandchildren in various activities and metal detecting.

Alan is survived by his wife, Lana, and their three children: Jeff (Laura) Ebertowski, Argusville N.D.; Mike (Abby) Ebertowski, Grand Forks, N.D.; and Lynette (Mike) Renfroe, Key West, Fla. He is also survived by the lights of his life, seven grandchildren: Jo, Olivia, Gretta, Quincy and Aubree Ebertowski and James and Marcus Wrazen. Sisters, Carol (Calvin) Turner, Gail (Paul) Knutson and Faye (Jeff) Offutt. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
