Christine enjoyed having a large garden (which she always claimed was small) and sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. She was an accomplished pysanky artist, creating beautiful Ukrainian eggs. Hobbies she enjoyed include cooking for others, quilting, and caring for animals.

She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and had a passion for carrying on cultural traditions. She was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church, Reynolds, and an active member. In later years she celebrated her faith at the Bible Baptist Church in Grand Forks.

She is survived by her husband Marvin Sondrol; brother Frank Jr. and (Angela) Haynes; brother David and (Sandy) Haynes; son Asle and (Chelsy) Sondrol, daughter Emma; son Alan and (Marie) Sondrol; daughter Darla and (Robbie) Gage; Daughter Paula and (Joey) Rickie; Grandchildren Melody (Mathew) Sebald, Kaysha Davis, Jaxon Davis, Taylor Rickie, and Aldin Sondrol. She also had many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Sr. and Esther Haynes.

Christine will be celebrated with a private service for immediate family and close friends on January 2nd at 2 pm. The services will be held at Bible Baptist Church (6367 Gateway Dr., Grand Forks, ND). The family requests that all attendees wear a mask due to COVID concerns.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date with a headstone placement at Rosendahl Cemetery in Rural Reynolds.
