Volunteers once again are asked to visit Mayville to help feed the hungry around the globe.
The city’s armory will host a Feed My Starving Children packaging event Nov. 19-20, when a little more than 100,000 meals will be packed for distribution to starving children worldwide.
This is the third time in four years the community has hosted the project, which looks to bring in 500 volunteers and $25,000 in donations for the two-day event.
“Last time, the turnout was just phenomenal,” said Hatton resident Fred Strand, a member of the event’s organizing committee. “The excitement in the building – it’s a real fun feeling.”
