The Hatton Eielson School Board planned to interview four finalists Thursday in the district’s ongoing search to replace retiring Superintendent Kevin Rogers.

The finalists included two school administrators with Traill County ties: Hillsboro High School Principal Terry Baesler and Mayville native Scott “Mickey” Berry.

Rogers, who has served 28 years as a principal and later superintendent in Hatton, said it’s possible the school board would make a job offer to its top candidate following Thursday’s interviews.

“If they have a consensus they may make an offer but I’m not sure how they will carry all that forward,” he said. “I’ve been staying out of it as the outgoing superintendent.”
