The Traill County Economic Development Commission on Thursday, Oct. 21 received updates on a half-dozen businesses on the verge of expanding in the county.
Jim Murphy, TCEDC’s executive director, singled out Degelman Industries in Hillsboro as one of the most high-profile expansions recently announced in Traill County.
Justin Kleckner, general manager for the farm equipment manufacturer in Hillsboro, revealed Oct. 4 that the company was planning a $7 million expansion that could create 35 to 50 new full-time jobs in the city starting in the next year and a half.
The project will include a 26,000-square-foot building addition to its facility at 105 S. Boeddeker Dr. along Interstate 29, doubling the size of the company’s existing manufacturing and distribution center.
“They’re a fantastic employer who’s adding space in this county and market,” Murphy told TCEDC’s board of directors during a meeting in Hillsboro.
