Wizard of Oz Hillsboro One Act

Hillsboro High School’s one-act play team performed an adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz” story at  the Region III play contest Thursday in Northwood.

The cast features junior Jora Leeseberg as Dorothy, junior Clayton Jones as the Scarecrow, seventh-grader Layne Leiser as the Tin Woodman and seventh-grader Wyatt Myers as the Lion. 

Seventh-grader Siri Williams plays the Wicked Witch of the West, sophomore Annie Nielsen plays Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, and eighth-grader Crystal Magnuson portrays the Wizard.

Hillsboro’s team is directed by Charlee Scott and Rachel Fenner.

The cast will perform a community showing of its play at 7 p.m., Nov. 11 in the Hillsboro High School gymnasium.
