Fourteen coyotes were harvested in 2020's  second annual Reynolds Coyote Hunt. Organizers expect the event to return in 2022.

The fourth annual Reynolds Coyote Hunt will start at sun-up on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Jordan Adams of Reynolds said organizers are introducing a change to this year’s hunt.

After registering four-man teams for the first three years of the event, this year’s coyote hunt will feature two-man squads, which should double the number of teams competing for top honors.

“We decided to change up things a little,” Adams said Thursday. “We wanted to mirror some of the other tournaments out there and not many of them have four-man teams.”

Last year’s Reynolds Coyote Hunt resulted in the harvest of 11 coyotes – down slightly from 14 in 2020 – and featured teams from across North Dakota.

Adams said organizers have started accepting registrations for this year’s hunt, which will raise money for Make A Wish Foundation of North Dakota.
