School officials will allow more fans at Hillsboro-Central Valley home games this winter following a change in the state’s COVID-19 risk level, which took effect Jan. 29.

Burros athletic director Dave Nelson said that school officials have increased the number of visiting fans from 50 to 70 allowed inside the Hillsboro Events Center and Central Valley School gym.

One hundred first-come, first-serve tickets also will be made available to home fans for H-CV games following the change in the state’s risk level from yellow to green announced by Gov. Doug Burgum.

Those tickets are in addition to the six parent and guest passes set aside for Burros athletes and an uncapped number of students in grades 7-12 allowed to attend home games, Nelson said.
