Following through on a directive approved by county commissioners a week earlier, employees in Traill County have been told to mask up when indoors and on the job.
County Auditor Glenda Haugen sent an email to fellow department heads Monday asking them to remind employees – including those who have received COVID-19 vaccinations as well as those who haven’t – that they need to wear masks at work.
The Traill County Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 on Aug. 24 to require employees to follow the latest guidelines on mask usage published by the Centers for Disease Control.
In her email Monday, Haugen said Trail County had been classified as an area with a high community transmission rate (9.3 percent) of COVID-19, which marked an increase from the previous week.
