Employees at Dakota Heritage Bank in Hillsboro should move to their newly remodeled office location in the city by the end of next week, according to the bank’s branch president.

Dustin Nagel said Thursday that construction crews have nearly wrapped up six months of work to modernize the interior of the former Wells Fargo Bank building at 212 W. Caledonia Ave.

Dakota Heritage expects to close its current offices at 101 W. Caledonia Ave. and head a block west to its new home next week after the Hunter, N.D.-based chain received final regulatory approval for its big move Thursday, Nagel said.

“We’re looking forward to moving and letting the public come see us once we’re over there,” Nagel said in a sit-down interview to discuss the bank’s pending change of address.

“We’re excited to have that building be open as a local bank and welcome people through the door.”
