The Central Valley School Board will conduct a pair of closed-door hearings Monday night with technology teacher Tracy Foss and Superintendent Jeremy Brandt to discuss nonrenewing their contracts or changing their job duties prior to the 2021-22 school year.
School board members had been in recent talks to discuss similar changes to the contract of the district’s K-12 principal, but Frank Justin notified the board in a letter April 8 that he was resigning.
Justin cited the “circumstances surrounding potential changes at Central Valley” in a two-paragraph resignation letter as a reason for his pending departure at the end of the school year.
School board members held their regular monthly meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday and briefly debated whether the group should proceed with discussions on changing the contracts of Foss and Brandt.
Board member Carrie Knutson said she wasn’t comfortable continuing with the nonrenewal processing, adding she had heard similar comments from parents in the district.
