Dustin Nagel at Hillsboro Days

The Hillsboro Business Association on Wednesday pored over ideas intended to improve next year’s Hillsboro Days.

The merchant organization had sent out a survey seeking advice on how the five-day city celebration could draw bigger crowds and create more fun for those who live in Hillsboro in 2022.

Near the top of Wednesday’s idea list was making changes to the Hillsboro Fire Department’s downtown street parade next June.

Paul Geray of Paul’s Hometown Repair suggested the fire department take a more active role in the parade, adding that 2022 may be the year to change up the route for parade floats.
