Canceled by the coronavirus pandemic a year ago, one annual rite of passage for Traill County teens appears poised to return this spring.

School administrators in Hillsboro, Central Valley, MayPort-CG and Hatton have started making plans for the return of high school proms.

MPCG has scheduled its prom March 27 with Hillsboro and Hatton set to follow April 17, while Central Valley educators have penciled in May 8 for the rural Buxton school’s spring formal.

“We usually start preparations in August, so at this point we have everything laid out and planned,” MPCG prom adviser Lisa Gapp said Tuesday.
