This year’s Hillsboro Days celebration could see larger-than-usual crowds in mid-June, organizers predicted Wednesday.
Members of the Hillsboro Business Association began penciling in events this week for the return of the city celebration June 17-20.
Hillsboro Drug owner Randy Habeck told fellow HBA members on Wednesday that he anticipates strong crowds to pack the city in June.
Alumni unable to return to their hometown for their 10- and 25-year class reunions due to the global pandemic a year ago will double up with this summer’s reunion classes, Habeck said.
“That’s going to be a lot of extra people in town this year from all the reunions,” he said.
HBA members gathering at the Hillsboro Cafe drafted preliminary plans for this year’s festivities.
