North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum on Wednesday announced that the state’s COVID-19 risk level will change from moderate to low, marking the second time the risk level has been lowered this month.
The change in the state’s risk level from yellow to green will take effect at 8 a.m. today (Friday).
Burgum’s announcement will allow bars and restaurants to increase their capacities from 65 percent and 200 customers to 80 percent and 300 customers.
Citing a report released by federal officials, Burgum said North Dakota ranked lowest among all states in the country a week ago for test positivity and first among states in percentage of administered COVID-19 vaccines.
