Members of the Hillsboro Business Association on Wednesday re-elected attorney J.R. Strom as the association’s president for 2021.
The merchant group agreed to return Paul Geray, owner of Paul’s Hometown Repair in downtown Hillsboro, as vice president next year.
Gathering for their December meeting at the Vets Club, members spent a portion of their Wednesday lunch period attempting to generate buzz for HBA’s holiday-themed contests.
Strom announced in November that HBA would be sponsoring snowman-building and tree- and light-decorating contests to replace the association’s annual Christmas carnival.
Strom said Wednesday that the contests had received a handful of entries submitted online via the Facebook page Experience Hillsboro owned by the Hillsboro Economic Development Corp.
