The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has prompted changes in the upcoming Region 2 boys and girls basketball tournaments and could derail indoor track meets this spring, according to Hillsboro-Central Valley’s athletic director.
Dave Nelson told the Hillsboro School Board on Thursday, Feb. 11 that teams that advance to the Region 2 boys and girls tournaments at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center in Grand Forks will receive 275 tickets for fans.
General admission tickets won’t be available at the gate so H-CV fans planning to cheer on the Burros will need to get their tickets in advance, Nelson said.
“We will have a little bit of time to get those sold and into people’s hands who would like them,” he said.
