Eighty-eight percent of employees in the Hillsboro School District received COVID-19 vaccinations in February, school administrators said Thursday.
Superintendent Paula Suda told the Hillsboro School Board on Thursday morning that staff members received the first of two Pfizer shots at Norseman Hall in Portland on Feb. 24.
Employees are scheduled to receive their second doses of the vaccine March 17 at the same location.
Staff members, which included everyone from teachers to custodians to bus drivers, were notified of a sign-up list for the vaccinations through Traill District Health Unit but weren’t pressured to add their names to the list, Suda said.
