Hillsboro-Central Valley erupted for 350 rushing yards and took a 39-point lead into the fourth quarter Sept. 4 to beat Watford City 39-6 and improve to 2-0 on the season.

“I thought we got out to a good start. Every drive we scored in the first quarter,” H-CV head coach Scott Olsen said. “Three-hundred-fifty rushing yards is also a good goal for us.”

The Burros felt they had something to prove in their ground game, rushing for 251 more yards than they did in their season opener against Grafton.

Junior running back Jace Leshuk did the bulk of the work, picking up 113 yards on 12 carries and punching in three scores.

Leshuk scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters (1, 4, 15 yards).
