Peyton Gall has been a nightmare for Cory Erickson’s team the last five years.

The Jamestown Outlaws pitcher has handed Erickson’s Cass-Traill Blazers 18U players four state tournament losses since the teams first competed against each other back in their 12U days.

On Sunday, the Cass-Traill Blazers 18U squad fell to Gall and the Outlaws 8-3 in the JO USA Softball of North Dakota state championship game of the 16/18U B bracket in Minot.

“She’s tough and she throws pretty hard,” Erickson said about Gall who pitches for Jamestown High School in the spring. “We need to get up to that level.

“You need to score runs to win games and we just couldn’t score the runs against Jamestown.”

Gall pitched 7 innings for Jamestown and struck out 12 batters as Cass-Traill finished with eight hits.
