HARWOOD, N.D. – Home runs at the Harwood baseball diamond have been dubbed “Harwood Homers” by opponents.

Left field is about 200 feet from home plate. 

On Sunday, the Hillsboro-Reynolds and Harwood American Legion teams combined for five home runs as the Blue Sox notched a 9-7 win over the Hogs. 

“It definitely makes the game more interesting,” Blue Sox head coach Jason Keating said Monday about the short fence. “You’re never really out of a game on that field.
