Oscar Benson’s decision to commit to North Dakota State wasn’t hard to make.

When the Hillsboro-Central Valley soon-to-be senior started playing football on the concrete outside school in first grade, he knew he wanted football to be a part of his life as long as it could.

And now he’ll have the opportunity to extend his football career with the Bison.

On Sunday, the Bison finished their three-day summer camp and shortly after Benson (class of 2020) verbally committed to NDSU after meeting with head coach Matt Entz.

“When (NDSU) offered it seemed to make sense to accept it,” Benson said Monday. “The facilities are great. The coaches are awesome. It seemed like the best place for me.”
