ENDERLIN, N.D. – Hillsboro-Central Valley’s wrestlers went 1 for 4 in contested matches against Lisbon on Tuesday in a forfeit-dominated 70-3 loss to the Broncos.

Burros senior Luke Leshuk won a 2-1 decision at 132 pounds over Lisbon’s Caleb Nielsen, who won the state title at 113 pounds last year, for H-CV’s lone victory of the evening.

The Broncos took a major decision and two pins along with nine forfeit victories against the rebuilding Burros squad.

“We wanted to do our best, but when you look across the gym – they have 45 kids,” said H-CV first-year co-head coach Andrew Grothmann.

“And we were a little cautious about throwing some of our guys to the wolves for the first match of the year.”
