WYNDMERE, N.D. – Missing three starters and down a score, the MayPort-CG Patriots had the early odds stacked against them Aug. 30 against Wyndmere-Lidgerwood.

The Warbirds (0-2) had to be happy MPCG’s top rusher Sammy Satrom remained sidelined.

But Wyndmere-Lidgerwood and head coach Scott Strenge had no answer for Sawyer Satrom.

MPCG’s 6-foot-1 junior signal caller turned into a one-man wrecking crew Friday, rushing for four scores and throwing for another to lead the Patriots to a come-from-behind 36-12 win on the road.

Making only his second career start under center, Sawyer Satrom completed 11 of 19 passes for 172 yards and rushed 19 times for 247 yards to keep the Patriots (2-0) undefeated.
