THOMPSON – The Hillsboro-Central Valley Blue Sox rallied twice and took a lead into the final inning behind pitcher Patrick Limke’s complete game but fell to rival Thompson in walk-off fashion 5-4 Tuesday.

“We had a couple of miscommunications on bunts today, but overall I think we had guys in the right spots most of the time in the game,” H-CV head coach Nathan Walsh said.

“I told the guys to keep their heads up because we’re going to make mistakes sometimes.

“If this doesn’t bring us closer together then we’ll have trouble so we have to make sure we bounce back.”

Thompson found itself down a run for the second time in the game heading into the final inning.
