Rural HARWOOD, N.D. – One year after going winless at the Red River Rage tournament, Cass-Traill 18U had a bit more success Saturday and Sunday.

The Blazers finished 2-3 overall and ended the two-day tournament with a 5-1 loss to the Minot Storm in the semifinals of the silver bracket.

While Cass-Traill coach Cory Erickson said it was his program’s best finish at the regionwide tournament, he felt the team had unfinished business.

“We are still a Class B team and we are playing Class A competition,” he said. “I don’t like making excuses – it was our best finish – but I still think we could’ve finished higher.”
