Two MayPort-CG seniors have been named to the North Dakota 9-man all-state football team, as selected by the state coaches’ association.

Quarterback Sawyer Satrom was named to the first team and wide receiver Logan Krueger was picked for the second team, MPCG head coach Adam Sola announced Tuesday.

A dual-threat quarterback, Satrom rushed for 1,099 yards this season on 118 carries and threw for 1,255 yards on 73-for-134 passing to lead the Patriots’ high-powered attack.

Satrom racked up 21 rushing touchdowns and 15 passing scores, leading MPCG to a 7-2 record. He scored seven touchdowns in back-to-back weeks in MPCG’s 56-22 win over Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page Sept. 11 and in the Pats’ 74-48 victory over Tri-State Sept. 18.

He recorded 34 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back for the Patriots.

Krueger hauled in 21 receptions for 574 yards to lead MPCG’s receiving corps.

He finished the season with seven receiving touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 59 total tackles and had a pair of pick sixes in MPCG’s 62-14 win over Richland on Oct. 2.
