The East Region title is on the line tonight when No. 2 Hillsboro-Central Valley welcomes undefeated No. 3 Kindred to the Burros’ home finale.

Fresh off a 13-6 overtime win over Central Cass, the Burros (6-1) will look to rev up their ground game against the visiting Vikings after being held to 2 net yards against the Squirrels a week ago.

“We are a run-first team, but if we can’t run the football, we have to find other ways to get explosive plays,” said Burros head coach Scott Olsen.

“We are working on being more consistent at the point to attack. (Our) backs need to run harder, blockers need to do more and the coaches need to find ways to make the guys successful.”

H-CV running back Jace Leshuk rushed 11 times for 24 yards last week with backfield partner Gavin Mitzel out with an injury.
