Rural BUXTON – Hillsboro-Central Valley’s boys basketball team had a monstrous second quarter in a 65-36 win over Park River/Fordville-Lankin Friday.

The Burros outscored the visiting Aggies 30-4 over the eight-minute stretch en route to the 29-point Region 2 victory at Central Valley School.

H-CV senior point guard Carson Henningsgard chipped in 26 points and four 3-pointers in the win, which kept the 10th-ranked Burros near the top of the region’s standings with two weeks left in the regular season.

“It took us a little while to get going,” said H-CV head coach Elliot Rotvold. “We didn’t make some shots but we were moving the basketball well.”
