My path to physical perfection has continued the past couple weeks.

It isn’t a direct path, of course.

It has had twists and turns with brief stops along the way for bags of popcorn and warm chocolate chip cookies at Hillsboro-Central Valley home games.

For anyone who didn’t read my column two weeks ago, I’ve lost 37 pounds since mid-November from dieting and working out every day at the Hillsboro Fitness Center.

My new routine, which I’ve dubbed “Operation Not So Fat Ass,” has brought about a series of unexpected consequences.

For starters, it’s convinced my brother-in-law and Banner co-publisher Cory Erickson to start working out and lifting with me three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Cory and I have different motivational styles during our lifting sessions.
