Marsall Weibye, 87, of Hillsboro, N.D. passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at Mayville Memorial Home.

Marsall was born, Jan. 12, 1932 at Eagle Bend, Minn., to Marshall and Opal (White) Weibye, where he grew up and attended school. Marsall enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949, serving in Okinawa and Korea from 1950-1951. He received his honorable discharge in October of 1952. Marsall was united in marriage to Marlys Kaupang on June 4, 1952 at Santa Maria, Calif., they lived in California until his discharge, then returned to Minnesota. 

Marsall farmed, worked in construction, and was a truck driver. He retired from Traill County Highway Department in Hillsboro. He was a life member of the VFW Post #4172 and the American Legion Post #4, both of Hillsboro.

Marsall was an outdoor person. He loved gardening, and keeping the yard up, fishing and camping, which we did a lot of with the children. He liked jigsaw puzzles, word search, crossword puzzles and spending time with the family.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marlys of Hillsboro, daughter, Marcia Onsgard of Halstad, Minn., sons, Mark Weibye of Hillsboro, Marty (Michelle) Weibye of Parkers Prairie, Minn., and Jerry Weibye of Brooks, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Darlene (Jim) Johnston of Lady Lake, Fla., sisters-in-law, Judy (David) Hagen, Patti Benson, Lorene (Todd) Tranby, Mary Goodwin, all of McIntosh, Minn., brother-in-law Dean Holstad and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard, sister, Ardith, mother and father-in-law, Millie and Richard Keller, brother-in-law’s Leslie Goodwin, Howard Carver, Richard Benson; sister-in-law, Carol Carver. 

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with visitation one hour prior. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Wildeman Boulger Funeral Home, to sign the online guestbook, go to www.boulgerfuneralhome.com.
