Charles (Chuck) Ernest Lowe Kraby was born June 26, 1943, in Grand Forks, ND, to Eldora Louise Lowe. His father, Ernest Lowe, was killed in WWII prior to his birth. Chuck was adopted in 1953 by James Elbert Kraby.

He attended Hillsboro Public School where he grew up. He furthered his Education at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, transferring to the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO and graduating in 1966. Chuck then traveled Europe and Russia for ten weeks before joining the Peace Corps for two years. He was employed by the University of Minnesota Hospitals, Aurora Medical Hospital in Colorado, returning to the U of M Hospital, and finished his career on Capitol Hill with the State of Minnesota. He relocated from the Twin Cities area to Sun City, Georgetown, Texas, in 2007.

Chuck passed away Friday morning May 3, 2019, at Autumn Leaves Memory Care in Georgetown, Texas having reached the age of 75.

Chuck enjoyed acting and working in the Theater. He was a founding father of the Bloomington and Burnsville Community Theaters of Minnesota. Chuck’s hobbies included photography, birdwatching, reading, (never enough time for books), and traveling.

He is survived by his loving companion, Cameron Kienenberger, Cameron’s daughters and granddaughters. Siblings Susan Reed (Terry), Jerome Kraby (Rebecca) Hillsboro N.D., and Cynthia Kraby (Jim Vos) Montgomery, Texas. Niece and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life will be held on June 1st at Sun City, Georgetown, TX. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials preferred to Williamson County Texas Alzheimer’s Association.
