Bradley J. Foley, 65, Halstad, Minn., beloved brother, was called to his eternal resting place on Oct. 28, 2018, at Sanford Health, Fargo, N.D.

He entered this world on Oct. 19, 1953 in Detroit Lakes, Minn. and was adopted on Nov. 14, 1953 by Lawrence and Isabel Foley. He is survived by his big sister Kim (Tom Hemberger), brother Charles (Lori) Foley, Mary (David Aune), and Elizabeth (Manuel Barbosa) Foley, and many nieces and nephews.

Bradley served in the Navy from 1971-1975 and received an honorable discharge. While in the Navy he was stationed in Reykjavik, Iceland for the first years of his service and in Bermuda for the final years. He was fortunate to attend the Bobby Fischer/Boris Spassky world chess championship during his time in Iceland. Following his military service, he enrolled in college along with his younger brother at the University of Minnesota Moorhead.

Brad relocated to Arizona and spent much of his adult life in the Tucson area working in construction. A workplace accident forced him to go onto disability for the remainder of his life. Years later, after spending time in the Fargo-Moorhead area, Brad moved back to his hometown of Halstad in order to be near his father, Lawrence Foley, who was residing at the Halstad Living Center and Heritage House.

Brad loved to call family on a frequent basis to stay in touch and find out about their lives and those of their children. He also loved to talk politics and depending on which side of the aisle you resided, would either endear you to him or not!

A memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Halstad.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
