Hillsboro city commissioners pushed for progress at Tuesday’s meeting, anxious to see a laundry list of infrastructure and administrative projects move forward in the city – at a cautious pace.

“Keep the paperwork moving,” insisted Commission President Terry Sando.

Steve Swanson, project manager with AE2S, reviewed seven ongoing city projects with commissioners.

AE2S President Charlie Vein was on hand to discuss a pending agreement between the city and the East Central Regional Water District to provide water service to the proposed Riverwalk Development.

The 80-acre development is situated west of Interstate 29 between County Road 11 and the Goose River.

It is anticipated that the development will include both single-family and multi-family housing, as well as commercial builds such as a microbrewery and a cake and coffee shop.
