Jordahl hearing quiet, incentives still under review

A recent hearing to air competitors’ concerns on a proposed property tax break for Jordahl Custom Homes attracted no comments.

The two-minute hearing opened Tuesday’s Hillsboro city commission meeting.

With the formality of the hearing complete, the process of a tax incentive now becomes a matter of negotiation, noted city attorney John Juelson.

Since the tax break will impact the city and the local school district, those two entities will now weigh in what sort of tax incentive the Fargo-based housing developer may get.
