Larry Aasen, who grew up on a farmstead near Cummings, has written a fourth book on his home state.

The 96-year-old author has titled his latest book: “North Dakotans Never Give Up.”

The World War II veteran, journalist and retired New York City public relations sage writes about farmers, businessmen, students and celebrities, all who never gave up.

In the recently released soft-cover 90-page book, Aasen writes about Peggy Lee, Lawrence Welk, Roger Maris, Eric Sevareid and Angie Dickinson, in addition to Aasen’s mother, when she was a young widow raising three boys, and several North Dakotans that people in the state may not be familiar with.
