This year’s Hillsboro Days street dance will see rock-country band Jacked Up storm the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday in front of the Traill County Courthouse.

The five-member Fargo-based band features singer and lead guitarist Kelly Cordahl, who’s no stranger to Hillsboro.

The former member of area bands Pure Country and Identity 5 lives in Mayville.

“I’m very familiar with Hillsboro,” Cordahl says with a laugh.

In addition to Cordahl, Jacked up includes Kris Adamson (lead vocals, guitar), Bethany Beiswenger (lead vocals), Ryan Lunneborg (bass/vocals) and Chad Hulter (drums).

According to the band’s website, Jacked Up has opened for national acts like Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn and Faith Hill and covers a wide range of music ranging from the Zac Brown Band to Garth Brooks to Pink and Blink-182.

Cordahl, who founded the band seven years ago, took five minutes Monday morning to give Banner readers a glimpse into this weekend’s street dance.
