More than 90 percent of Hillsboro residents who took part in ongoing online survey want more restaurants in the city.

The Traill County Economic Development Commission released a survey in July asking people to participate in a wide-ranging study on how they view their local communities.

Seventy-four respondents in Hillsboro filled out the anonymous survey – about 31 percent of 239 participants countywide – through Tuesday afternoon.

Results from Hillsboro’s responses showed 90.2 percent of survey takers want more restaurants while 55.6 percent revealed they would like new walking and biking paths.
