City officials debating whether to build a new municipal pool in Hillsboro will tour the pool at the Two Rivers Activity Center in Jamestown, N.D., on Thursday, Nov. 7.

City Auditor Matt Mutzenberger announced the upcoming tour in an email to city commissioners and civic leaders in Hillsboro.

“This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the process of building a new pool in our community,” Mutzenberger wrote Monday in his email.

Built south of Jamestown High School and north of Hillcrest Golf Course, Two Rivers Activity Center opened in September 2015 and replaced the city’s 1974 municipal pool.

The $28.6 million project led by the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission was financed in part by a 1 percent city sales tax that voters approved in June 2015.
