A software company that specializes in helping farmers monitor their stored grain plans to open a new location in Hillsboro this year.

IntelliFarms Northern Division intends to set up shop between Degelman Industries and Total Ag Industries west of Interstate 29.

Traill County Economic Development Commission Executive Director Jim Murphy announced the tech ag company’s pending arrival at a meeting Thursday, Jan. 16.

“I think it’s not only going to be good for Hillsboro for the here and now, but for the long-term here,” Murphy told TCEDC board members.

“It’s a new piece of the puzzle when you think about some of the ag businesses that are already over there.”
